Recycle-it supports Hurricane Harvey Relief

We have all read and heard about the 1,000 year storm in Texas with Hurricane Harvey.
We continue to pray for the safety and well being of all the people affected by this catastrophic storm.
It was a lot more personal for Paul and Ann Osad of Granger Township as their 2 daughters and their families were stranded in the midst of all the flooding and devastation in Houston.

Jeff Kantorak, a dear friend of Paul’s, is a Lakewood Fireman as well as an owner operator who hauls recycled materials for Recycle-it.  Jeff and his long time friend, David Paydock, also a fireman, have graciously offered to drive to Houston with his tractor and trailer with donated supplies to assist both bringing supplies and assisting state personnel where they might be needed,

Thanks to area businesses’ – cargo poured in to Recycle-it headquarters and Susan’s Garden Roadside Stand.
A sincere thank you to the following:

Jeff and Dave left at noon on Monday 9-11 hauling diapers, water and miscellaneous items to Houston, Texas.  They arrived Wednesday 9-13 and delivered these much needed items to Catholic Charities of Houston and the Houston Food Bank.

Thank you to all that took part in this great effort of relief.
